Meet Larry Grays

Ministry Experience

Larry answered the call to preach on May 15,1990. He was licensed to preach in First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL on October 7,1990. He was ordained at Parkway Baptist Church in Orlando, FL. Larry has been in full-time evangelism since 1997. In the past, he has served as a Senior High youth pastor at Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh, NC and as Assistant Pastor/ singles at Parkway Baptist Church in Orlando, FL. God has given Larry the opportunity to preach in pulpits all over the country. He has also been a part of area wide crusades with Bailey Smith, Jay Strack, Jim Wilson and Rick Gage. Larry has also been involved with international short term mission trips to England, Romania, India, Russia, Argentina and Antigua.

Larry launched the Midtown Bridge Church in August of 2007. Midtown Bridge is located in midtown Atlanta in a Live, Work and Play community called Atlantic Station. Larry is serving as Senior Pastor.

Education

1988 - Graduated from Orange Park H.S.

1992 - Graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Liberal Studies

1996 - Graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree in Biblical Studies and was awarded the Bessie M. Sachet Award for preaching excellence.

2005- Graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctorate of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching.

Personal and Family Background

Larry was born in St. Louis, MO on July 10, 1970 to Lawrence and Shirley Grays. He was raised in Jacksonville, FL with his older sister Karmel and his younger brother Keith. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Berean Baptist Church at the age of nine.

Larry and his wife Kathy have been married since March 9, 2002. Kathy and Larry live in Woodstock, GA. Kathy and Larry became proud parents of Lauren Kate on October 12, 2004. And they became proud parents of Gibson on March 14, 2006. They are also expecting a new baby in January of 2009.

Larry is available for church revivals, conferences, banquets, youth ministries, retreats, singles events, college ministries, school assemblies and campus ministries.
